Visiting Technology Giants in Silicon Valley

Monday, January 9, 2017
We spend five days in San Jose area last September of 2016 . I thought its nice to take a trip down to Silicon Valley and visit/see the technology giants like Facebook, Google, Apple etc. Most of these big tech companies are not open to the public nor do they give tours. Without knowing someone who works there you'll only be able to see the building from the outside.

Silicon Valley is most important place in West Cost USA. The "valley" in its name refers to the Santa Clara Valley in Santa Clara County, which includes the city of San Jose and surrounding cities and towns, where the region has been traditionally centered.

Visit the Winchester Mystery House

Monday, November 7, 2016
I've heard a lot of things about the Winchester Mystery House. Aside from it was featured on Travel Channel and Ghost adventures. I was excited to finally make my way to San Jose, California.

The architecture of this house is just stunning and very creative especially for the time it was built in. It has a good story wrapped up in all sorts of mystery and supernatural that had happen around the turn of the 20th century. It really makes the whole experience unique.

Brief history:

In early life William and Sarah Winchester started their family in 1862, the couple’s life together was happy. Years had past their infant daughter, Annie, died of mysterious childhood disease. And then 15 years later added to Mrs. Winchester’s distress, her husband’s died  from tuberculosis.

Android Lawn Statues at Google HQ

Monday, October 17, 2016
Google does a nice job of opening up it's Campus to tourists. If you're in the Mountain View area then it's worth checking for. Very interesting place to see the different statues of Android operating systems developed over time.

The Android statues is located a few blocks off the main Google campus. It's not that extensive, but it's definitely something neat to check out.  To make it more interesting, try recognizing all the android versions. Also there is a souvenir store nearby. Make sure to take pictures of the giant pastry sculptures!

The statues are depictions of Google's operating systems. Great place to visit for all Android fan.

ðŸ“Œ  The place where Innovation was born

We were visiting Sunnyvale, California and we decided to drive along the Silicon Valley area. Silicon Valley, is the hub for high tech innovation and development, this is the home to many of the world's largest tech corporations like Google, Apple, Facebook etc. We didn't join any tour instead we drove by ourselves.

Let me take you to our first stop, the Google Campus located in Mountain View, CA. This place offers tour but because we were here on the weekend some of the company is close. The region employs about a quarter of a million information technology workers. Just for Google alone, with a street named, Google Street.  I am surprised of how accessible their campus was. We enjoyed seeing the employees riding the google bikes and playing in the open areas very welcoming environment.
