Road Trip from Eugene, OR to Crater Lake National Park

Sunday, January 28, 2018
Crater Lake National Park is one of my favorite national park in United States. You have to see the lake in person to realize how breathtaking and surreal it is. We came in August and the weather was a little bit cloudy on top. Although it is still summer, it gets VERY cold on top dipping down into the 40's, so don't forget to bring layers.

Crater Lake is a unique wonder of nature, and terrifying volcanic behavior over thousands of years. Visiting this place you'll learn about the Super Volcano of nightmares that belched this breathtaking beauty into existence. If you're ever in Oregon, this is a fantastic park to take in for the views.

The drive here was scenic and when you get to the lake you'll forget the long drive that you just did.

The lake was still a few miles after this sign. The entrance fee ($15 for a car) they offer yearly pass as well.

We went around August the mountain is covered by snow. It was so majestic and definitely worth the drive.

There's plenty of Evergreen trees at the park.

Crater Lake is living proof that beautiful things can exist after a disaster. With such an interesting history, it's the deepest and purest lake in the U.S. and one of the most magical landscapes I've ever seen.

If you're looking to hop on the ferry to Wizard Island, booked your ticket at least a week to ensure a ride. There are a few hikes to choose from and if you drive away from the lake, which we plan to do next time.

View of Crater Lake with sparkling blue water.

Our visit here has been amazing. The sightseeing was spectacular, and no words or pictures could justify how beautiful this lake is.

I have posted more photographs of our trip to Crater Lake National Park.  It is one of the most beautiful places I have visited.  Definitely worth a visit for everyone!
