Tis the season to go shopping!

Christmas is officially around the corner, the streets of London are decorated accordingly, and shops have been stocking Christmas items for far longer than many people may deem appropriate. So, the time has most certainly come to venture out for a spot of Christmas shopping to find those perfect gifts for your loved ones.

However, we all know how much shopping can take it out of you, and after a long day of hitting the shops, you’ll definitely need to take a load off your feet and grab a bite to eat as a pick me up.

Thankfully, London has absolutely no shortage of restaurants, cafes, and other little eateries for you to indulge in. The only problem is, with so much choice, it can often be a little bit overwhelming trying to narrow down your options to find that perfect spot!

With that in mind, we’ve put together this little roundup of five of our favourite places to eat in London that are perfect for those Christmas shopping days. We think we’ve found something for everyone!

Bella Cosa

Here in the UK, we really enjoy our Italian food, and it seems that there’s an Italian restaurant on every corner. We just love how the simple ingredients and flavours come together to create something super delicious and comforting.

At Bella Cosa, you’ll find both fine dining and a more casual bar in this split-level restaurant.

Duck and Waffle

Rise above the city at Duck and Waffle, which is situated at the top of the Heron tower, 40 floors up. The views of the city are unparalleled, and the food itself is mouthwatering.

Open 24/7, you can enjoy everything from the duck and waffle that is their namesake, to brunch, or go the whole hog with a three course meal.

Flat Iron

Steak lovers should head to Flat Iron, where they really know what they’re doing with fabulous steaks! Enjoy varying cuts of meat and textures, served with a choice of sides and sauces.

It’s also really reasonably priced, particularly for London, so is the perfect choice if you’ve already splashed a bit too much cash throughout the day!

The Blues Kitchen

Head to the Blues Kitchen in either Brixton, Camden, or Shoreditch for a restaurant with great food and a great vibe.

If you love BBQ food, you’ll love the menu here which boasts wings, southern fried chicken, and burgers, alongside burnt ends, brisket and a great range of sides.

Ikoyi

For something really exciting and unusual, a trip to Ikoyi is a must. Serving up West African dishes that look beautiful and taste delicious, you may find some unique flavours and ingredients that you’ve never experienced before.

The staff are warm and welcoming, as is the venue itself so you’re sure to feel relaxed after a day on your feet.

We hope this has given you some ideas of where to head for a bite to eat, especially after trudging the streets looking for those perfect gifts for your loved ones!
