A day trip to Downtown Nashville

Monday, February 6, 2017
Located on the Cumberland River, Nashville is a small town in a big city — Nashville, TN is famous for being the home of country music. Plenty of bars with live music are everywhere as well and the cowboy greeters are full of personality. Restaurants featuring great brisket and ribs are easy to find along with more sophisticated restaurants at street level and in the high rises. It is fun to walk along downtown, but you can take a horse drawn carriage or even pedal a beer bike around.

If you haven’t visited  the Music City recently I suggest you should, wear your cowboy boots and head to Tennessee’s capital city.

Stunning Nashville downtowm

There's no more perfect way to welcome oneself to Nashville than with an early morning walk across the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge. We enjoyed the short walk with stunning views of the Nashville skyline and Cumberland River.

  1. That bridge is gorgeous and I bet it was an amazing walk. I honestly can't remember if I've ever been to Nashville and it wasn't ever on my list of places to visit. After seeing this and how pretty it is I think I'm going to have to add it.

  2. This post is bittersweet for me to read!! I recently planned a trip my girlfriends and TWO of us were adamant about going to Nashville (for our 40th!). No one else seem to agree...and it's so unfortunate because I heard it's such a happening city! ;-(

  3. I have never been to Nashville but my BFF has told me it is a must visit for sure. We are hoping to do a girls trip to Nashville soon. Looks like so much fun!

  4. Amazing photos! I particularly like the guitar-shaped swimming pool. It's the most unique pool I ever saw (even more creative than the infinity pool).

  5. I went to Nashville years ago for a conference. What little I was able to see of the city made me want to return. I have yet to go, but you've reminded me why I need to change that!
