Whether you purchased your car brand new or used, from this year's selection or last decade's models, it is your car. A car, even when it is purchased used, is an investment that requires upkeep. In between the expenses of owning a car, though, it is a good idea to have some fun and personalize it. Personalizing your car does not have to be expensive or extravagant. It can be as simple as placing a couple of rebel flag stickers on the bumper or decals on the back windshield and windows.
Here are three ways you can personalize your car.
Antenna Toppers
Antenna toppers are inexpensive, durable and available in just about every cartoon character, color and shape imaginable. Thanks to the wide assortment of toppers, at least one will fit your interests, personality or passion. You can opt to buy one and keep it on your car antenna for the car's life, or you can purchase a variety pack and switch them based on your mood, event you may be attending or other occasion.
License Plates
Through your state's department of motor vehicles, you can pay a fee to have your license plates personalized. Each state offers something different from the next, and the choices given to you are limited, but it will differentiate your plates from the plates of other cars. States like California, for example, offer special interest license plates that support a specific group including the Arts Council, Agriculture Department and firefighters. If you prefer to not pay the upfront fee to receive personalized license plates and then, the renewal fee every year thereafter, purchasing a personalized license plate holder is a second option. Purchasing a holder gives you far more options including color and logo.
Interior Accessories
When you purchased your car, it may or may not have come equipped with factory floor mats. Whether it did or not, this is your opportunity to personalize your car and at the same time, keep it cleaner. Floor mats, like license plate holders, are available in a variety of colors, and with and without logos. Plus, they can be matched to seat and steering wheel covers if you opt for them.
Purchasing a car is a big deal. Personalizing that car with an antenna topper, personalized license plates or holders, or interior accessories makes the car feel truly like your own.
I have 2 stickers on my car and one fish. I love to personalize the outside. I also have a front bug guard. It helps me find my car faster.
ReplyDeleteI need to personalize my car because it's plain boring. I need to start with the interior.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy reading other peoples bumper stickers, seeing personalized plates and christmas is always entertaining. Hubby would never let me put even one sticker on our cars.
ReplyDeleteI think personalizing the car is so much fun. The only thing I stay away from is any sort of sticker. They never come off clean. I love interior accessories, though.
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm not a bumper sticker kind of person, I love to read them on other cars, especially the funny ones. Interior accessories are more my thing. A personalized license plate is something I have thought about.
ReplyDeleteI used to have an antenna topper on my car! My new car's antenna wouldn't be a good spot for one though.
ReplyDeleteI love the antenna topper I have on my car. It makes it so much easier for me to find my car in parking lots.
ReplyDeleteI love the interior designing. Fun wheel covers and seat covers if you want as well :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I am one of those people that like nothing personalized about my SUV. I mean nothing on it or around it! Clean as clean can be is my motto! ☺
ReplyDeleteThat's one thing my husband does not like hahaha. He doesn't like stickers or any sort on our vehicle.
ReplyDeleteAs a teen I always wanted a car of my own to add Roxy stickers to. Of course, driving my parent's car didn't allow for that and now that I'm older I'd choose other stickers. Nevertheless, my budget isn't very customize-your-car-friendly at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a bumper sticker person myself, but I do enjoy reading other people's when I'm on the road!
ReplyDeleteI like bumper stickers, but I really love the window decals. That's what I have all over my car. If you get tired of them you can peel them off without damaging your paint.
ReplyDeleteI don't usually decorate the outside of my car because I'm scared it will diminish the value of the car later on. Rebel flag would definitely be a no-go for me for many reasons.
ReplyDeleteI will take a hard pass on the rebel flag, that is offensive. I don't put stickers on my vehicle or decorate the outside of my car. I do have personalized tags so that in my bit of razzle dazzle.
ReplyDeleteI usually personalize inside my car... steering wheel cover, floor matts, cubby's for the kids stuff, etc... fun post!
ReplyDeleteNice guide and tips that car owners can follow for through. Thanks for it.
