The Magical time at Rockefeller Center

Monday, January 22, 2018
Rockefeller Center is a national historic landmark in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Right up there with Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. It is amazing to see during Christmas time. I love watching people ice skate on the rink. It just pits a smile on your face. There is also an observatory at the top of the building, which we didn't visit this time.

Since this place is so well known in NYC, the place is very crowded. There are so many visitors/tourists at times, it will be a short wait to take photos so that not many people are around you in the photo. Luckily, there are many benches around the area that you can sit on to rest at. The area is very well maintained and clean. Lots of stores to check out in the area and across the street is Saks on Fifth Avenue if you want to do some shopping. Regardless of your feelings about the big crowd, this building is a must when visiting the Big Apple.

The Rockefeller Center is beautifully decorated walkway, gaze at the ice skaters below, and watch the light display across street at Saks 5th avenue.

Visit Times Square in New York City

Wednesday, December 20, 2017
Times Square is for me the main tourist spot in Manhattan.  No matter what time of day it is, it's always live and vibrant.  High rise buildings and bright lights will inspire you, but at the same time you will feel claustrophobic and rushed. Times Square is  swarming with people who come from all over the world to see this place.

There's plenty of shopping that can be done around here as well as several places to eat at with in the proximity. There were people dressed up in costume asking for money if you want to take a picture. I wasn't surprised since I saw this type of scamming on tv.  There's also a police presence in every corner around Times Square with weapons out. So I felt safe around Times Square.

This is the business center of Manhattan in a way. It's the link of all those stories you hear of the bright lights and  the noise of New York City.

1-Day Trip to New York City

Monday, December 4, 2017
Welcome to New York City!  NYC is an amazing city so much to see and do here. It blows my mind how many people who visit from all around the world. Flock to New York City and then stand around Time Square looking at high buildings and advertisement lights. The streets of New York are  always busy and crowded day and night.  Definitely a fast-paced place to be.

I have not been here for years and it was great to come back.  I was so excited about it. I felt like I was finally and officially in New York City. We  usually stay on a budget hotel so I cannot speak too much on hotel stays. However, I suggest look for a rental condo or apartment around downtown and hire NYC maid services for your cleaning needs.

and hire  or suggest any other accommodation options. Other than go find a hotel outside NYC.

New York City offers so many tourist attractions that it will be difficult to fit them all into one day. When you are short on time, it helps that many activities are close together, making it easy to move from one thing to the next rather quickly. Try to do as much as you can, and save the rest for a repeat visit. Here are some of the places you can check out while you're in the Big Apple.

1. Visit the Time Square
The main hot spot for tourists.  No matter what time of day it is, it's always live and vibrant.  Times Square is  swarming with people who come from all over the world to see this place.  There's plenty of shopping that can be done around here as well as several places to eat at with in the proximity . And of course, on the center of Times Square where everyone gather to watch the New Year's Eve Ball Drop.  You can't go to New York without visiting Times Square.
