Never Miss A Chance To Visit Music City

Friday, January 26, 2018

If you ever get the opportunity, you should definitely take a trip to the magical city of Nashville. At the heart of Tennessee, it is known as music city, and it’s probably not that hard to figure out why. A lot of famous country singers and indeed jazz singers found their sound on the streets of Nashville or have ties to the area.

One of the best things about Nashville is Broadway. This street is well known by tourists and locals alike because in the evening you can wander down it and hear a different type of music with every step. You’ll hear guitars playing, banjos, jazz, country music and rap all on the same street less than a few hundred yards away from each other so, if you're usually one to search for country concerts near me, or one of the other types of music, you'll only need to follow your ears in Nashville to find a venue with the sounds you love. It’s a truly magical experience and enchanting for the senses.

But that’s not all that Nashville has to offer. There’s a lot more.

Music City Centre

Not too far from Days Inn Nashville Saint Thomas West Hospital, you’ll find the Music City Center. This is where concerts are held on a regular basis and if you do decide to visit Nashville, you definitely need to check out a concert or two. We think we might have mentioned that this is the birthplace of country music but that’s not the only type of concerts you can find here.

Of course, if you are a massive fan of country music from the likes of Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood then you’ll be thrilled to learn that Nashville is actually the place where the country music awards are held every year.

Take A Trip Back In Time

Are you fascinated by history? Nashville is actually the location of the Battle of Franklin. This was one of the worst battles of the American civil war. Visiting the site, you will be able to learn the heartbreaking stories surrounding this vicious battle, learn the names of the men and women who died there and even see the scars where the cannons and bullets hit old buildings. Be sure to look into getting a full tour of the area to gain some extra info that very few people actually know.

Cheap And Cheerful

Some places will cost you an arm and a leg to experience the best activities. Nashville isn’t one of those places. Here you’ll find that fun activities and great adventures are priced to match your budget, whatever that may be. At the very least you can head down for happy hour at the bars and share some time with the very friendly locals.

Checkout Music Row

Finally, it only seems fitting we finish by talking about music. You can head near Belmont and Vanderbilt to a very famous street. This is known as Music Row, and it’s where every legend you have ever heard of recorded a song, an album or an LP. Who knows while you’re visiting you might even see one heading out of a studio here

We hope you take this advice and take a chance to visit the only true ‘Music City’ in the world.
