Visiting Washington, DC Memorial

Monday, May 27, 2013
We all celebrate Memorial Day in one way or another. With remembrance events, barbecues, trips, personal reflection, and shopping. But, many of us forget what we are actually celebrating. Memorial Day is a time of reflection for our nation – and especially for our service members – as we honor those who gave their lives so that others may live. Few months ago my husband and I made a trip to Washington DC. The small city is full of American History. As we walk along to World War II Memorial seeing the list of people who died gives me goose bumps. It's nice to learn the history it makes me feel a good citizen.

My first photo is not really related to what we celebrates. However i thought it is good to share  because this man is a genius. If you love learning and even perhaps idolize Einstein it's a great place to stop by. It is a beautiful and intelligent monument for the man that change the world with his ideas and mathematics.
I hope you have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. But, let us take some time to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep our nation secure.
